SEABOTA Annual Conference
SEABOTA is thrilled to host its 2019 Annual Conference at the Washington Duke Inn on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina on April 4-7, 2019.
Vogue magazine lists Durham as one of the "hippest cities" in North Carolina. Located half way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Smoky Mountains, the Washington Duke Inn is only 20 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and is nestled in 300 acres of tall pines and hardwoods. The inn is known for its beautiful facilities and grounds. The Fairview Dining Room — winner of the AAA Four Diamond Award — offers enchanting culinary delights, while the hotel is listed in U.S. News as one of the Top 15 Best Hotels in North Carolina. Golfers can enjoy a round on the Robert Trent Jones-designed 18-hole championship Duke University golf course, while others may simply want to want to enjoy a glass of vino, served by the winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Durham’s nearby dining scene offers everything from family-owned barbecue restaurants to some of the South’s best upscale culinary venues. The outdoor enthusiast can hike scenic trails, take to the water for kayaking and canoeing, or learn the fine art of throwing an axe. For culture, the city offers the Nasher Museum of Arts, the Durham Performing Arts Center, the American Tobacco Campus and Brightleaf Square.
As ABOTA's only multi-state regional chapter, SEABOTA uniquely brings together chapters from different states each year to learn and share new ways of promoting the 7th Amendment and its promise of justice for all. We hope you will join us in Durham as we continue this yearly tradition in an atmosphere of Southern hospitality and camaraderie. See you in Durham!
